Iga Swiatek, in varsta de doar 19 ani, a invins-o in semifinale pe Nadia Podoroska la fel cum a trecut si de Halep, 6-2 6-1.

Ultimul game al meciului a fost senzational, cu niste lovituri fantastice reusite de poloneze, prin care a aratat cat de bine stapaneste tehnica, dar si gandirea de pe teren.

Cu un fizic foarte bun, este formula perfecta sa devina surpriza anului in tenis si sa ridice sambata trofeul de la Roland Garros, dupa care limita pentru ea este cerul.

Swiatek este primul nume din tenisul polonez, atat la masculin cat si feminin, care ajunge intr-o finala de la Roland Garros.
